IC Music (International Cooperation Through Music) will showcase new musical talent from England, Belgium and France at this year’s Great Escape festival.

Unno from France, Damerels from Plymouth, The Black Heart Rebellion from Belgium and Kins from Brighton will be among the acts performing at the showcase at The Green Door Store in Brighton on 18 May.

They will be among the 350 plus bands and acts playing at this year’s Great Escape, which runs in Brighton 16-18 May.

IC Music is a cross-border initiative aimed at enhancing networks and cultural partnerships between the acts and their communities.

Boris Colin, Director of Le Grand Mix from IC Music said: ‘The cross-border bands from England, Belgium and France in the IC Music initiative have been working together to develop their skills through the learnings gathered in their own countries.

‘Performing at The Great Escape is a fantastic opportunity for these up-and-coming bands to showcase their skills to audiences and music industry professionals and develop working relationships between themselves.’

The initiative is a three year programme. It brings nine organisations, including eight venues and one social organisation, together to offer emerging artists from the UK, France and Belgium training and performance opportunities.

PRS for Music will host an afternoon of digital focused panels and events at this year's Great Escape festival. Read the full line up of speakers and industry experts due to appear.
