Independent music charity Help Musicians UK has announced a new funding programme for organisations.
Its National Grants Programme opens today (6 October) and is inviting applications from organisations working with musicians across the UK.
The closing date is 1pm on 18 November 2016.
Successful applicants will receive between £5,000 and £40,000 in funding over a three-year period.
The scheme, which runs until 2021, is the first to be launched as part of a new strategy to modernise the way the charity reaches musicians from across all genres and the whole of the country.
The wider Creative Programme it has developed aims to provide a range of opportunities to support musicians by investing in invention across artistic practice, talent and professional development.
Claire Gevaux, Help Musicians UK creative director, said: ‘Being more robust in our approach to supporting organisations is the beginning of a new way of working for Help Musicians UK.
‘I’m delighted to be launching this new open funding process and look forward to finding and supporting a diverse range of organisations that need to be recognised for the brilliant work they do in the sector.’
