Gunship, the new synth band from Fightstar’s Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway, have signed a global publishing deal with Metropolis Music Publishing.

According to the band, a much anticipated debut album is due for release this summer promising a combination of ‘luscious analog synthesizers, cinematic vocals, and cyperpunk values’.

The record is expected to feature collaborations with April Towers, Stella Le Page, Charlie Simpson, Lou Hayter (previously of New Young Pony Club and now New Sins) and Carpenter Brut.

Rupert Hollier, creative director at Metropolis Music Publishing, said: ‘We're incredibly excited to be working with Gunship, they're exceptionally talented and driven. Their creative precision in all aspects from music to visuals is outstanding.’

Charles FitzGerald from BM Management and manager of Gunship added: ‘We are thrilled to be working with Rupert and his team at Metropolis Music Publishing.

‘Throughout their career the band have enjoyed recording at Metropolis Studios so it is great to extend our relationship. I’m very excited to be working with a team that understands the band and shares our global vision with this record.’
