The shortlists for this year’s GRM Daily Awards have been announced, with Dave, Little Simz and Cleo Sol among the nominees.
Dave is nominated six times this year, with two nods each in Track and Video Of The Year as well as one each for Album and Male Artist. In the album category, his We’re All Alone In This Together is up against Cleo Sol’s Mother and Little Simz’s Sometimes I Might Be Introvert among others.
The shortlist for Female Artist of the Year includes Little Simz, Cleo Sol, FLO, Ivorian Doll, Stefflon Don, Ms Banks, Darkoo, Miraa May and Dreya Mac. Dreya Mac is also nominated in the Breakthrough category, alongside Knucks, Sainte, Clavish and more. In the Male Artist of the Year category, Dave is up against D-Block Europe, Russ Millions, Tion Wayne, ArrDee, Central Cee, Digga D, K-Trap, M Huncho and Potter Payper.
Other categories this year include Mixtape of the Year, Radio DJ of the Year, and Personality of the Year, which is supported by Channel 4. YouTube Shorts is supporting Female and Video Of The Year.The official event will take place in October, with a final date yet to be confirmed. The ceremony will feature live performances, and will be broadcast exclusively on E4.
The GRM Daily Rated Awards are voted for by the public, with creators being considered for their work between June 1 2021 and July 1 2022 Voting is open on GRM Daily’s website from now until September 21.
