Fast rising grime artist Cadet has inked a new deal with Absolute Label Services.
The deal with the MC and his management company J Star Entertainment will see Absolute manage his label, distribution, social media promotion and video releases.
According to Absolute, ‘it will focus on a multi-platform digital strategy initially, with a performance, music and animated video plan executed via YouTube and VEVO to promote Cadet's debut EP, Commitment’.
Cadet’s musical career to date has seen him support Krept & Konan and Bugzy Malone as well as also headlining London's Islington Academy in March 2016 with guest appearances from Krept & Konan, MoStack and Donae'O.
James McGuinness, Absolute Senior Label manager, said: ‘We're really happy to be working with Cadet. As with many of our grime acts, he stood out as a real talent straight away and we made sure we offered a deal quickly to add him to our roster. We saw a chance to help Cadet build a platform to grow as an artist, within his own label, and keep full creative control via our label services and distribution.’
Cadet added: ‘I'm incredibly excited about Absolute. We share the same vision and goals, and they have so much faith in me and my art. I literally cannot wait to see my dreams come to fruition with them.’
Absolute has worked with a number of key players in UK grime including Skepta, Krept & Konan, Yungen and Lady Lykez.
