Green Man Festival to host St David's Day event

The Green Man Festival is decamping to Cecil Sharp House in London to celebrate St David’s Day with BBC Radiophonic Workshop, 9 Bach, The Gentle Good and more.

The Hwyl event takes place on 1 March at the iconic north London folk venue with a full 10-hour programme of music, storytelling and Welsh food and ales.

Pictish Trail and Valleyers are also confirmed to perform, with more expected to be announced soon.

Fiona Stewart, owner and director of Green Man, said: ‘We’ll be celebrating St David’s Day in style by bringing all of the mischief and magic of Green Man up the M4 for a unique, one-off Welsh knees-up.

‘There’ll be a real festival feel to the day, combining Welsh arts and culinary delights with superb live music from some of Green Man’s closest friends. Just like the Green Man, Hwyl will be packed full of Welsh culture, crafts and culinary delights, there will be talks, theatre, comedy, and lots more.’
