The duo performed at a live final in Camden, London, last night, and were handpicked by a panel of industry experts to open the Mountain Stage at the Welsh festival on 15 August.
Zoe Mead, one half of Wildest Dreams, said: ‘Taking part in Green Man Rising and getting the exposure has been a wonderful boost for us, and to then win is thrilling. To be playing the Mountain Stage at Green and be on the same bill as Daughter and The War on Drugs – wow! It’s a fantastic opportunity and we can’t wait to see where this takes us.’

The award-winning festival takes place from 15 to 17 August at Glanusk Park in the Brecon Beacons.
This year’s headliners include Beirut, Mercury Rev and Neutral Milk Hotel. Also on the bill are Bill Callahan, First Aid Kit, Caribou, Panda Bear, Slint and Kurt Vile.
