Ella Eyre, Kelis and Royal Blood are among the first acts confirmed for the Great Escape (TGE) festival 2014.
US r and b star Kelis, who will release her forthcoming album via Ninja Tunes this spring, will perform at the Brighton Dome at the event. She will be supported by Rudimental collaborator and hotly tipped solo artist Ella Eyre at the gig on 10 May.
Her performance will be one from around 400 artists expecting to play during the 9th year of the festival, which will run across the weekend of 8-10 May.
A whole host of other acts have been unveiled including the likes of Jungle, Chloe Howl, Fat White Family, Royal Blood and Charli XCX.
Kat Morris, festival director of TGE, said: ‘This will be our 9th festival, and it really feels like the event has become stronger year-on-year.
‘TGE prides itself on showcasing the very best upcoming talent and we aim to produce a line-up which shows a true cross section of emerging artists, locally and internationally, and offer hundreds of incredible gigs, accessible to festival-goers with just one wristband. We’re really excited by how this years’ line-up is shaping up.’
PRS for Music will be once again sponsoring the festival and hosting events as part of the wider TGE conference sessions. Keep your eyes on M for more news on the festival and PRS for Music's involvement.
