Grammys 2024: Arctic Monkeys, Burna Boy and Dua Lipa among nominees

Next year's awards ceremony will take place on 4 February in LA.

The nominations for the 2024 Grammys have been announced.

Next year's ceremony, which will be the 66th Grammy Awards, will take place on 4 February at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Arctic Monkeys, Burna Boy and Dua Lipa are among the major nominees, with the Sheffield band being nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for their 2022 LP The Car and Best Alternative Music Performance for their track Body Paint.

Dua Lipa has been nominated for Song Of The Year for her Barbie-featuring song Dance The Night, which sees her going up against the likes of Taylor Swift, SZA and Billie Eilish. The singer's track also features in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category.

Burna Boy is nominated in two Grammy categories — Best Melodic Rap Performance for Sittin' On Top Of The World (featuring 21 Savage) and Best African Music Performance for his song City Boys — as is Fred again.. (Best New Artist and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022)).

Also among the 2024 Grammy nominees are Labrinth (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Never Felt So Alone with Billie Eilish), Anne-Marie (Best Pop Dance Recording for Baby Don't Hurt Me with David Guetta and Coi Leray), Ayra Starr (Best African Music Performance for Rush), Gorillaz (Best Alternative Music Album for Cracker Island), Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding (Best Pop Dance Recording for their track Miracle).

Ed Sheeran (Best Pop Vocal Album for - [Subtract]), PJ Harvey (Best Alternative Music Album for I Inside the Old Year Dying) James Blake and The Chemical Brothers (both for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Playing Robots Into Heaven and For That Beautiful Feeling respectively) have also received nominations today.
