goNORTH and Secret Garden Party festivals have joined the new-look live booking and promotion platform BandWagon.

BandWagon is primarily a service that links artists with promoters and both Inverness based goNORTH and the Secret Garden Party organisers have started using the company’s online application to receive standardised submissions from prospective acts.

Artists can upload detailed information including SoundCloud audio, while promoters and event organisers can filter these submissions by genre, location and audio.

BandWagon, a staunchly anti pay-to-play company, has beefed up its offer over the last 12 months. The promoters tools area has been expanded to include a submission widget, a public event page to aid promotion and the ability to add non-BandWagon artists to a line-up so all the artists can be handled through one system.

Stan Mcleod, co-founder and chief executive of BandWagon, said: ‘We are excited to launch the new BandWagon with some exciting new features, festival partners and more opportunities in the pipeline.

‘It’s important to us that BandWagon pushes for more transparency in the live music industry. The anti-pay-to-play agreement is just the start in our mission to promote a fairer live community.’

The company been selected as one of 25 UK companies to showcase in a trade mission to South by South West next month.
