Mercury Prize nominated Ghostpoet will be the headline act for 2016’s first PRS Presents event.
The artist will be joined by Andrew Ashong and Dr Meaker at the event, which will be the first at PRS for Music’s Streatham HQ on 11 February.
Launching under the banner of ‘PRS Presents’, which saw indie-rockers PEACE and Boxed In headline for the first in its series last year, PRS for Music will open its Streatham HQ doors for the first time to host the evening of live music.
The line-up includes Bristol-based electronic dance musicians Dr Meaker, DJ producer and soul singer-songwriter Andrew Ashong, and critically acclaimed PRS for Music Foundation Momentum artist Ghostpoet – bringing together some of South London’s best talent to boast.
The PRS Presents gig series are set to take place every two months in 2016 giving industry partners, stakeholders and music fans an opportunity to check out the talent PRS for Music represents.
Ghostpoet said: ‘It's great to play a gig for PRS, as well as being a wonderful organisation for up and coming UK artists, they've also played an important part in my career development thus far. Looking forward to it!’
Paul Sims, PRS for Music’s head of marketing, said: ‘These events give us, as an organisation, the opportunity to open our doors and engage with our licensees, members and stakeholders. We want to put something on that brings to life the fantastic work our members are producing.’
The next PRS Presents will be at PRS for Music’s King’s Cross offices in April.
