DICE and RAK Studios are hosting the DICE Girls Music Day 2017 offering aspiring young female musicians and producers a window into the music industry.

Taking place at RAK on 8 and 9 April, the event will feature musician Rosie Lowe, BBC 1Xtra’s Sian Anderson, METHOD MUSIC’S Katie Ray and 4AD’s head of press Annette Lee.

Attendees will be able hear stories and advice from women already succeeding in their sector, meet future contemporaries, and get an insight into what it’s really like to be a woman in music.

The Saturday will cover all topics from writing and performing to management and A&R, while the Sunday is a focused engineering and production workshop.

You must be 16 to 24 years old and identify as female to attend.

DICE launched Girls Music Day in early 2016 as a reaction to the gender imbalance in the music industry, most notably when it came to those making music.

Past speakers have included Laura Marling, Lucy Rose, Jane Third (Because Music), and Clara Amfo (BBC Radio 1).
