Gerry joined his father, Sidney's music sales business - Bron's Orchestral Service - before becoming Gene Pitney's manager and cutting records including Love Grows and Something's Got A Hold Of My Heart with the American star. Bron had almost a fatherly relationship with many of the artists he worked with - both managing and producing their records and putting them out on his Bronze Records label.
In 1967, Gerry produced the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band's first album, Gorilla, and guided their early career.
Although the Bronze label was often associated with heavy rock and metal bands such as Uriah Heep and Motorhead, its roster was very diverse and included Osibisa, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Hawkwind and Sally Oldfield.
