Georgia wowed a judging panel including Michael Lawrence (The Hub Entertainment), Shauray Da Silva (Universal Music) and industry executive Fiona Ramsey with her original songwriting. She has already won support for her music from BBC Introducing and has just released her soundtrack to the indie film Honest. Her debut EP for Push Puzzle Records will follow later this year.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Newport artist Critical came second while third place went to London rapper Mr 6 at the Grand Finale in London last month. They were up against five other regional finalists who had been whittled down from an initial shortlist of 500. The three winners will receive studio time, a professional music video, a PR package and a place on various songwriting workshops.
