George Ezra tops the album charts

George Ezra’s debut album Wanted on Voyage has landed his first number one album 14 weeks after its initial release.

George Ezra’s debut album Wanted on Voyage has landed his first number one album 14 weeks after its initial release.

According to Official Charts Company data, the record has not dropped out of the top ten since its release back in June.

Wanted On Voyage includes the top 10 singles Budapest and Blame It On Me and is now enjoying its eleventh week in the top five.

George said: ‘It’s amazing that, over three months since my album came out, not only is it still in the top 10 but it’s gone to number one.

‘Thank you so much to everyone that has bought it - I hope you’re having as much fun listening to it as I had making it. Keep your pecker up and all the very best!’

Elsewhere Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour is at number two followed by Ed Sheeran’s X at number three. Jamie T’s Carry On The Grudge is the highest new entry in the album charts art number four.

Britpop legends Oasis are at number seven with (What’s The Story) Morning Glory ? The album re-enters the top 10 for the first time in 18 years due to the release of a deluxe reissue.
