Gateshead International Jazz Festival announces 2015 line up

British vocalist/pianist Jon Cleary and the James Taylor Quartet are among the acts announced for the Gateshead International Jazz Festival 2015.

British vocalist/pianist Jon Cleary, James Taylor Quartet and composer Gwilym Simcock are among the acts announced at the Gateshead International Jazz Festival.

Running from Friday 10 - Sunday 12 April 2015 at Sage Gateshead, the event will bring together some of the most renowned jazz artists from the UK and beyond for its eleventh edition.

American saxophonist David Sanborn, who has performed with the likes of James Brown and David Bowie, will also be among the highlights as will be R&B vocalist Ruby Turner.

Ros Rigby, performance programme director at Sage Gateshead, said: ‘Whether you’re new to jazz, a jazz aficionada and a regular festival-goer, you’ll find something in our programme that’s just right for you.

‘This year we have a stellar bill with world-renowned artists as well as hotly tipped stars of the future.’
