The rock and blues guitarist, Gary Moore has died aged 58. Moore had been on holiday in Spain.
Born in Belfast, Gary Moore began his career with the rock group Skid Row at the end of the 1960s, beginning a long association with Phil Lynott which resulted in Moore becoming a member of Thin Lizzy on three occasions and working with Lynott during his solo career.
As well as Thin Lizzy and Skid Row, the guitarist worked with B.B. King, Albert King, Greg Lake, The Traveling Wilburys and had a successful solo career -Moore recorded 20 solo studio albums and the single Parisienne Walkways (with Lynott on vocals) became a top ten UK hit in 1979.

'It is with deep sorrow and regret, that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night.
Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.Gary Moore, RIP 1952-2011'.
