Gary Barlow is to play a special one-off gig at the Royal Albert hall in aid of music charity Nordoff Robbins.
The solo singer songwriter is performing at the iconic venue on Tuesday 22 April 2014 to raise both money and awareness for the organisation.
Gary Barlow said: ‘I feel really honoured to have been asked to perform for Nordoff Robbins.
‘It is a charity that makes such a difference to people’s lives, using music to give a voice to those who don't always have one. We had such an amazing time at the Royal Albert Hall the last time we were there so I know it's going to be a very special, intimate show.’
Dr Marcus Stephan, chief executive officer at Nordoff Robbins, added: ‘Gary Barlow is one the UK’s most successful and well-respected singer-songwriters and we are thrilled and delighted he is performing for Nordoff Robbins.
‘This is a perfect opportunity to raise funds and awareness for Nordoff Robbins, an organisation which has music at its very core. As a musician, Gary Barlow understands only too well about the power of music and the positive difference music therapy can make to people’s lives. All the money raised from the event will help Nordoff Robbins fund music therapy sessions across the UK for people who are vulnerable and isolated.’
Gary Barlow recently released his first solo studio album in over 14 years Since I Saw You Last.
Previously, with Take That, the songwriter released eight number one albums, selling more than 30m copies in the process.
