Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls and Maximo Park are among the first wave of acts announced for Standon Calling 2014.

Taking place 1-3 August in Hertfordshire, the artists will be joined by the likes of recent UK chart toppers Clean Bandit, Charli XCX and Rudimental collaborator turned solo star Ella Eyre.

Other performers include The Heavy, Toy and Birmingham rockers Peace.

Newcastle’s indie rock five-piece Maximo Park have recently scored themselves a third top 10 album with Too Much Information. Frank Turner and his band will open the festival with a headline slot following arena gigs across the UK.

Further announcements including additions to the line-up, DJ programme, fringe entertainment, swimming pool area and even dog show are expected over the coming months.

Adult weekend tickets are currently available from standon-calling.com for £119. Watch a teaser video of the event below;
