Max Hole CBE (left), former chairman and chief executive of Universal Music Group International (UMGI), joins Metropolis Studios.
In his new role as non-executive chairman for the West London studios, Hole will join the board assisting the company on strategy across its music and wider entertainment alliances.
At UMGI, Hole was responsible for the operations of Universal Music’s territories and regions worldwide excluding US.
He joined in 1998 as senior vice president of marketing and A&R, advancing to executive vice president in 2004.
Then in 2010 he was appointed chief operating officer, and assumed the role of chairman and chief executive shortly after.
Hole has been closely involved with the careers of artists including Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, Sting, Queen, Taylor Swift and The Eagles.
