The Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) is to launch a manifesto with plans to grow the music, video and games industries.

According to the organisation, this new five point plan will look at how the role of retailers has changed with the recent rise of streaming and the revival of vinyl.

The plan will assess the benefits the retail sector and explore its potential to grow even further.

Kim Bayley, ERA chief executive, said: ‘Retailers and digital services have transformed the entertainment industry over the past decade to the benefit of both consumers and the music, video and games industries, but their job is not yet complete. We see the launch of the manifesto as a vital next step in the growth of the entertainment market.’

Brian Message (Nick Cave, Radiohead, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Laura Mvula) and Martin Mills, founder and chairman of the Beggars Group will help launch the manifesto at a London event on Tuesday 24 February 2015.

Representatives from Amazon, Spotify, Tesco and HMV will also be speaking at the event.
