Martin Simpson, Nancy Kerr and Bella Hardy are among the folk artists appearing on The Elizabeth Session.
Released today (8 September), the 14 track album is inspired by the people and stories from the Elizabethan age.
Eight folk artists spent five days together in March 2014 absorbing the era and translating this into new compositions.
The work was premiered at Hatfield Old Palace where Elizabeth I held her first Council of State, and Cecil Sharp House, home of the English Folk Dance and Song Society and the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library. It was also performed at the festival Folk by the Oak.
The LP was produced by Andy Bell (The Full English) and is available from folkbytheoak.com/tes
