Ed Sheeran tops list of Spotify’s most streamed sleep songs

Ed Sheeran is the world’s most streamed artist on Spotify for users looking to fall asleep, a news report has revealed.

Ed Sheeran is the world’s most streamed artist on Spotify for users looking to fall asleep, a news report has revealed.

The music streaming and subscription service has unveiled a list of the songs that its users listen to most when unwinding and going to sleep, Billboard has reported.

Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud is top of 2.8 million Spotify users’ sleep-themed playlists with Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding also in the top three most listened to tracks.

Angela Watt, senior vice-president of global communications at Spotify, told the news provider: ‘Sleep is one of Spotify’s most popular categories, that people also use for general relaxation and to help themselves unwind.’
