British singer songwriter Ed Sheeran has confirmed details of his new album, the follow up to his multi-million selling debut +.
According to the star, the record is called x ‘or multiply’ and will be released in June.
The hotly anticipated album is believed to have been produced by Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin and Ed’s long-time producer cohort Jake Gosling. Lead single Sing will be premiered tonight (7 April) on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show while an arena tour is scheduled for the autumn and winter.
Ed tweeted: ‘My 2nd album is called x or multiply and will released on the 23rd of June worldwide. Can't wait for you guys to hear it.’
Previous figures from the Official Charts Company in 2012 revealed that + is the biggest second biggest digital album of all time.
