Rock photographer Denis O’Regan is exhibiting never-before-seen images of legendary British group Duran Duran as part of a new exhibition.
Denis will host an eighties-themed launch event on 23 April in Birmingham - the band’s home-town - at the Malmaison hotel in the city.
Music fans will get the chance to meet Denis as well as view the photos and purchase prints, boxsets, and signed limited edition copies of his Careless Memories book.
Nick Rhodes, Duran Duran keyboard player, said: ‘We had seen the stunning results Denis achieved with other artists and wanted him to do the same for us.
‘It helped enormously that his personality fitted in so well too - we laughed a lot together. If you weren’t able to keep up with the constant humour we survived on, you really didn’t stand a chance. Denis rose to the occasion admirably!
Denis exclusively captured Duran Duran's Sing Blue Silver world tour in 1983-84, joining the band in France where they were filming the video for their single New Moon On Monday and staying with them until the end of the run, covering their Japanese and North American dates as well as other European shows and promotional appearances.
Denis has toured the world as official photographer to David Bowie, Queen, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Spandau Ballet and many more.
