Duncan McCrone, the long-running former MCPS Scotland representative, was celebrated by PRS for Music last week in Glasgow for his contribution to music in Scotland.

McCrone (above centre) worked for both MCPS and PRS for Music for 29 years, in a role that spanned both membership and licensing, before retiring earlier this year.

McCrone was a key contact for many members and customers, as well as a respected key figure in the Scottish music industry.

He is also a singer-songwriter in his own right and released his latest album Land of Gold earlier this year via Greentrax Recordings .

McCrone was presented with a gold disc at the event last week (4 October) at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, which was attended by members including Scottish musician MALKA (above right).
