Calling all electronic music creators: the world’s biggest dance music magazine, DJ Mag, is teaming up with PRS for Music for a free six-part series that will teach you all you need to know about breaking into the industry.
Launching on 3 October in London, the events will be live-streamed for anyone who can't attend and will include advice from DJ and music lawyer Judge Jules, who will present An Intro to the Business of Dance Music.
Jules will cover topics including the rules around sampling and remixing, who gets paid on a track and when is the right time to join PRS for Music, MCPS and PPL.
Throughout the series, attendees will receive expert advice from a host of experienced artists, DJs and industry professionals.
Discussions will include information on how artists can get the most out of their music, marketing and promotion, mental health and diversity and an in-depth look into music recognition technology.
