Looking to boost your music career in 2018? Get off to the right start by applying for support from Help Musicians UK’s Transmission Fund.
The fund provides grants of between £500 and £1,500 to help artists, songwriters and musicians focus on their artistic and professional development.
It is intended to go towards opportunities such as short courses, workshops, training and coaching with experts in your field, either in the UK or internationally.
The scheme is open to emerging and professional musicians of all genres and disciplines, from solo instrumentalists, composers, singers and multidisciplinary artists to bands and ensembles with six members or less.
Applicants must be aged 21or over, be based in the UK for at least three consecutive years, be without significant backing and be in financial need.
The next deadline for applications is 19 January.
