David Bowie’s The Next Day was the best selling album of 2013 in independent record shops, new figures have revealed.

David Bowie’s The Next Day was the best selling album of 2013 in independent record shops, new figures have revealed.

The Official Record Store Chart showed that the album, which was Bowie’s 24th studio LP, was the top seller with Arctic Monkeys’ AM and Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories rounding off the rest of the top three.

The Next Day finished 2013 at number 23 in the Official Charts Company’s overall list of top selling albums for the year.
