Electronic music duo, Dark Sky, will headline the Official Oxjam Dalston launch party on Friday 16 September 2016 at Dalston Roof Park.
The pair will be joined by a top line-up of DJs hand-picked by Dark Sky themselves. The live gig will be the launch for an Oxjam Takeover in October to raise £10,000 to help tackle global poverty.
A limited number of tickets are currently available for purchase via the Oxjam Dalston website with all proceeds going to the global charity.
Commenting, Dark Sky said: ‘It’s an absolute pleasure for us to be supporting such a high profile initiative as Oxjam right on our doorstep in Dalston. It has given us a fantastic opportunity to invite artists and friends we admire to play some great music on a rooftop in London for an amazing cause.’
The Launch Party marks the latest in a line of fundraising events held by the committed Oxjam Dalston volunteers including a pub quiz, and Oxjam Unplugged, taking place at the Three Compasses on 25 August.
Fundraising will culminate in a mighty Oxjam Takeover event on Saturday 15th October 2016 spread across a number of Dalston venues. The full line-up of artists will be released shortly.
Over the years the initiative has gained several high profile celebrity supporters, including Jarvis Cocker, Fatboy Slim, Damon Albarn, Hot Chip, 2manydjs and many more.
