French electronic duo Daft Punk were one of the big winners at the 56th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles after collecting four prizes.
The pair, who performed at the ceremony as part of a “supergroup” featuring Chic’s Nile Rogers, Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder, received the gongs for best album of the year and dance/electronica album for Random Access Memories.
Get Lucky, the ubiquitous single from the record, was awarded record of the year and best pop/duo group performance.
Hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also won big at the event with four prizes for best new artist, best rap album, performance and song.
Elsewhere, surviving Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr played together in a rare reunion performance.
The pair joined each other on stage to mark 50 years since their breakthrough US TV performance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Other winners included teenage New Zealand singer songwriter Lorde who triumphed in the song of the year and best solo pop performance for her hit Royals.
