Daft Punk, Boards of Canada and Edwyn Collins are among the acts nominated for the Best Art Vinyl 2013.
Art Vinyl has nominated 50 album covers with these designs due to be showcased via a number of exhibitions across Europe.
The album art work of Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, The Editors and Mount Kimbie has also been named in the shortlist for the prize.
Andrew Heeps, Art Vinyl founder, said: ‘The best Art Vinyl award is a unique opportunity to discover new artists in the broadest sense and reflect on new work by some of the now great masters of the art world.
'These exhibitions celebrate an artistic spectrum which span from the likes of Damien Hirst’s mass market appeal to the weird and wonderful designs, some of which have been hand crafted and produced in as little as 100 copies.'
Previous winners include Thom Yorke’s The Eraser cover and the Temper Trap’s self-titled second album.
The 50 nominees for this year's prize will be displayed in the Art Vinyl Gallery in Broadway Market in London as well as various Malmaison hotels across the UK.
Visitors can vote for their favourite work via www.artvinyl.com/best-art-vinyl-award with the winner due to be announced on 3 January 2014.
