The reunion of Culture Club, the iconic eighties pop group, is to be celebrated in a forthcoming BBC documentary.

Boy George and Culture Club: Karma to Calamity will be broadcast on BBC 4. The documentary will be an ‘access-all-areas’ film following the band from their initial rehearsals to live performances.

Greg Sanderson, BBC commissioning editor, Arts, Music and Events, said: ‘Culture Club are one of those iconic bands who everyone wants to know more about.

‘Getting access to the trials and triumphs of their reunion was always going to be exciting, and we’re delighted to be taking audiences behind the scenes of this extraordinary foursome.’

Culture Club were one of the biggest bands of the eighties, selling 150m records before imploding in 1986.

The show will be broadcast at 9pm on Friday 6 March on BBC Four.
