Creative Commons Global Summit 2015 reveals first speakers

Creative Commons Global Summit, the annual meeting of copyright experts, has announced its first keynote speakers.

Creative Commons Global Summit, the annual meeting of copyright experts, has announced its first keynote speakers.

Taking place in Seoul, South Korea 15-17 October, the 2015 edition of the event will welcome Lila Tretikov, Wikimedia Foundation executive director, Yochai Benkler, author and law professor at Harvard Law School, Julia Reda, European Parliament member and rapporteur of the Parliament’s review of the EU Copyright Directive, plus Ryan Merkley, CEO of Creative Commons. .

According to organisers, the conference ‘brings together the community of experts, academics, and activists who comprise the Creative Commons affiliate network in a different country every two years’.

The event invites anyone involved in the worlds of open content and knowledge to attend.
