Jazz drummer Corrie Dick has been named as the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year.
The 22 year old musician was presented with the prize at Aberdeen's Beach Ballroom. He won £1,000 in cash and an additional £1,000 for a recording session in Skye.
Winning the competition, which is organised by the Scottish Jazz Federation, also includes a six date tour of Scotland as well as a chance to perform at the London jazz festivals.
Corrie told the BBC: ‘It's not quite sunk in yet. I kept telling myself I could do it this year and at the same time tried to push that thought out of my head. I'm in shock.’
The other finalists were Mark Scobbie on Drums, 22; Sean Gibbs on Trumpet, 20: Brodie Jarvie on Double Bass, 22 and Fergus McCreadie, 16 from Dollar on Piano.
Stephen Duffy, BBC Radio Scotland Jazz House, presented the award ceremony.
