Classical composers including Master of the Queen’s Music Judith Weir are among those donating handwritten music to charity.
Launched by BBC Radio 3 in collaboration with Children in Need, music lovers have the chance to own a piece of musical history by taking part in the auction.
Others artists donating pieces include Scottish composer and conductor Sir James MacMillan CBE, English composer Mark-Anthony Turnage CBE and Grammy award-winning American composer Eric Whitacre.
Judith Weir has donated her manuscript for new work, Praise Him with trumpet.
Commenting on the piece, she said: ‘It’s a piece I wrote for the Chapel Royal Choir, Hampton Court to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Hampton Court Palace. It will receive its first performance on Monday 16 November.
‘It is a loud, energetic piece scored for choir, organ and two trumpets. The pages have a lot of crazy handwriting and coloured pen; maybe the auction winner might like to stick a page or two up on the wall.’
All of the manuscripts are available for bids now with the auction ending at midnight on Friday 13 November.
