Classic acts lead 2013 Q Awards

Happy Mondays, Pet Shop Boys, Suede and Robbie Williams were all honoured at the 2013 Q Awards, which took place in London yesterday afternoon.

Surprisingly David Bowie, who was nominated in six categories, missed out on any accolades. In  the album category, he was beaten by Welsh rockers Biffy Clyro, who received a gong for their latest longplayer Opposites.

Elsewhere, Arctic Monkeys triumphed in the Best Track category with Do I Wanna Know?, Foals took the coveted Best Live Act award, while Scottish indie stalwarts Belle & Sebastian received the Spirit of Independence accolade.

The ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel yesterday afternoon. The full list of winners is available below.
