The powerhouse behind last year’s ‘brat’ summer is nominated for Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard, Dance Act and Pop Act.
Over 70 PRS songwriters are behind the tracks that are up for BRITS this year.
Having opened last year’s BRITs ceremony, seven-time BRIT winner Dua Lipa is this year nominated for four awards; Pop Act which she won in 2024, as well as Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year and Song of the Year with Mastercard.
Last year’s BRITs Rising Star – The Last Dinner Party - also receive four nominations this year (with Group of the Year, Best New Artist and Alternative / Rock Act making up their four). 2023 Mercury Prize recipients Ezra Collective now make their BRITs debut with four nominations in the same categories.
This year’s BRITs Rising Star winner Myles Smith, whose award was announced at the end of last year, is also nominated in three main awards categories: Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Pop Act.
The Cure receive their first BRIT nominations in over 30 years with three; Mastercard Album of the Year, Alternative / Rock Act and Group of the Year.
Another landmark nomination goes to The Beatles, who are shortlisted for Song of the Year for their historic single ‘Now & Then’, nearly 50 years since their last BRIT nomination at the inaugural BRIT Awards in 1977.
Other British artists up for multiple awards this year include: Beabadoobee, Central Cee, Chase & Status, Fred again.., JADE, Nia Archives, Michael Kiwanuka, Rachel Chinouriri, Sam Fender.
The BRITs International categories this year sees some debut nominations for the likes of Amyl & The Sniffers and Confidence Man. Several international artists are recognised twice in this year’s shortlists including Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.
The winners of Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year will be revealed over the coming weeks.
The winners of the five genre awards will be determined by a public vote exclusively through WhatsApp, which will open on Friday 31st January at 12 midday and close on Friday 14th February at 6pm.

The winners will be announced during the live show on Saturday 1st March at The O2 arena, and hosted by Jack Whitehall. The award this year has been designed by multi-disciplinary artist Gabriel Moses.
