Bella Hardy and Martin Simpson are among the artists taking part in the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s (EFDSS) spring series of live gigs at Cecil Sharp House.
BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year 2014 Bella will be playing a 30-date tour to celebrate her 30th birthday and career to date. She will be performing the London venue on Thursday 5 June with her band, The Midnight Watch.
Long-time collaborators Hannah James and Sam Sweeney bring their farewell tour to London as they embark on solo projects. Their gig on 8 May will kick off the season.
Neil Pearson, EFDSS programming manager, said: ‘Every single concert in the summer series at Cecil Sharp House will be a ‘must see’ event.
‘As the home of English folk music, it gives us great pleasure to be able to bring some of the hottest tickets in town to Cecil Sharp House and offer our audiences such a high quality and varied programme.’
Other highlights include English musician Martin Simpson and American guitar and banjo player Dom Flemons performing on Wednesday 23 July.
