Bucks, Universal honoured at Sync Awards 2017

Universal Music Publishing and Bucks Music Group are among the major winners at Music Week’s Sync Awards 2017.

Universal Music Publishing and Bucks Music Group are among the major winners at Music Week’s Sync Awards 2017.

Bucks Music Group won in the Independent Publisher category, with Universal Music Publishing receiving the Publisher Award.

Ipswich artist Barns Courtney won the Sync Artist of the Year Award, while BT Sport’s UEFA Champions League Final Opener, featuring Loyle Carner’s Road to Cardiff, won in the Best Sync – TV Show (Sport) category.

Elsewhere, the Best Sync – Film Trailer accolade acknowledged Mute Song, Tri Angle Records and music supervisor Will Quiney for the placement of Vessel’s Red Sex in The Handmaiden.

Music Week Sync Awards took place in London last night (Thursday), with BBC 6 Music breakfast presenter Shaun Keaveny hosting the ceremony.
