Bucks Music Group has announced a new partnership with Charlie Andrew’s publishing venture, Big Tree Music.
The first fruits of their collaboration will be an admin deal with Swedish born, London-based Francobollo, the first signing to the company.
BRIT Award and Mercury Prize winning producer Charlie Andrew (whose production credits include albums from alt-J, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Money) launched Big Tree Music alongside sister label Square Leg Records in August this year.
Francobollo are also the first signing to Square Leg, which released the quartet's first single Kinky Lola. The quartet's debut album is set for release in 2017.
Under the new admin agreement, Big Tree Music and Francobollo will be able to take advantage of Bucks Music Group's global reach, resource and infrastructure.
Sarah Liversedge Platz, Bucks Music Group's director creative A&R, said: ‘Charlie is one of the most successful and sought after producers in the music industry today. It's fantastic that he has chosen to partner with Bucks for Francobollo, who have helped him kick off his new publishing company and label in style. We're looking forward to helping the band achieve big things and working more closely with Charlie and Big Tree in the future.’
Charlie Andrew added: ‘I have big ambitions with Big Tree and Francobollo so it was very important to me when setting the company up that we were able to provide all of the writers we sign with a fantastic and pro-active service worldwide. Working with Bucks, with their fantastic sync record and international offices, has allowed us to do exactly that. I have a lot of time for Sarah, Flash [Taylor - creative A&R consultant] and the team and I am really excited about working with them on Francobollo and beyond.’
