The first albums in John Peel's fabled 25,000-strong record collection have been put online.
Fans can browse through the virtual record library, called The Space, pull out a record and check out the tracklisting and sleeve art, before clicking on a link to listen to audio. The intention of The Space's creators is to continue Peel's legacy by introducing people to music they might never have heard otherwise.
The project by The John Peel Centre in Stowmarket has been funded by The Arts Council.John Peel Centre director Andrew Stringer said 'This is just the first step and a fantastic portal to give the career of John Peel the justice it deserves.'
