Calling all music creators: Gilles Peterson and Brownswood Music have opened the second instalment of their talent discovery project, Future Bubblers.

The team is once again on the lookout for 10 of the country’s most exciting music creatives who’re producing sounds in tune with the scheme’s ethos: thinking outside the box, crossing genres, continents and eras of influence.

The successful applicants will be part of a year-long journey that’s tailored to their individual needs.

They will be paired with a music industry mentor and will receive creative development and business insight and promotional assets, all helping them achieve their own artistic ambitions.

Applications are welcomed from artists across England from today (4 July) until 19 August, with successful candidates announced in October.

To enter, submit a SoundCloud or YouTube link, plus some basic information about yourself, or send a demo to the team.

More details on how to apply can be found at www.futurebubblers.com

Partner organisations for the second year are The Warren & Warren Records, Soundsystem Records, The Sesh, The Plug and The Inherited Shop.

Gilles Peterson, DJ and Brownswood Recordings founder, said: The first year of Future Bubblers was a really exciting experience; uncovering so much potential and amazing music across the country.

‘We’re looking forward to building on this for year two and seeing how the project and potential can continue to grow.’

The scheme has now secured additional funding and support from the PRS for Music Foundation’s Talent Development Partner scheme.

Future Bubblers is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, with additional support from PRS for Music Foundation and Help Musicians UK.
