The Beggars Group, the BBC and the Quietus will all feature speakers and presentations at the British Library’s Keeping Tracks seminar.

The event, which is free and takes place on 21 March at the library, will explore the issues and challenges surrounding digital archiving for record labels, artists and institutions.

According to the institution, ‘delegates will hear from the experts how to best preserve, conserve and transfer sound recordings from physical to digital. The British Library’s pilot digital music deposit project for archiving contemporary releases will be introduced by its creators’.

Sessions will include BBC Playlister - what lies beneath the surface/service? and Download into the BL: Digital music recordings and the British Library.

Visit the library website to book a place on the seminar. You can also view the full programme for the day.
