British Composer Awards nomination deadline

The closing dates for all nominations except the Making Music Award is Friday 15 July 2011.

The ninth annual British Composer Awards will take place at Stationers' Hall, London on Wednesday 30 November 2011. The Awards are presented by BASCA and sponsored by PRS for Music, in association with BBC Radio 3 providing exclusive broadcast coverage of the Awards.

The Awards celebrate the music to today's composers living and working in the United Kingdom and also UK premieres of work by composers from outside the UK.

Nominations are currently invited for works that have received their UK premiere between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2011.

Submissions are welcomed from all those involved with the promotion, publication and performance of new classical and jazz music and may including music of any origin.

The closing dates for all nominations except the Making Music Award is Friday 15 July 2011.

The closing date for the Making Music Award is Friday 23 September 2011.

Alongside the Awards will be a competition for student composers. The winning work in the student competition will be performed at the British Composer Awards ceremony.
