Jackson has been nominated in both the Choral and Liturgical categories for A Choral Symphony and Cantate Domino respectively.

Three works in the shortlist were written for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad - Stephen McNeff's The Chalk Legend (Making Music category), James Redwood's Pass The Torch, An Olympic Symphony (Community or Educational Project category) and Oliver Searle's Technophonia (Community or Educational Project category).

The full nominations list for each of the 13 BCA categories is below.

BASCA said that this year more than 300 works were submitted by over 200 composers. Each category is judged by a different BASCA-appointed jury, with more than 70 music professionals involved.

The BCAs are organised annually by BASCA, in association with BBC Radio 3 and PRS for Music.

Winners will be unveiled at a ceremony at Goldsmiths' Hall on Tuesday 3 December.
