Calling all young Manchester songwriters - Brighter Sound is hosting its free Sing City class series this September.

Running for six Wednesday nights from 14 September at Band on the Wall, this series will be led by alt-pop artist Elizabeth Vince.

Elizabeth will be exploring games music, from classic themes to epic cinematic soundtracks to examine the audio-visual experience.

According to organisers, participants will have chance to ‘delve into music for the gaming medium. From reinventing classic game theme tunes, to creating original soundtracks for game play, we explore a wide of variety of techniques, unlocking exciting ideas for musical creation in the interactive world’.

Sing City is free and open to musicians under the age of 18 with an interest in songwriting, composition, collaboration and live performance.

The sixth session on 19 October is a night of live performance and will run from 7-9pm. Audience tickets will be available soon.
