Lux will be the acclaimed artist’s first solo effort on Warp Records and first since Another Day on Earth, which emerged in 2005.

The album will be released on 12 November 2012 and is a single 75 minute composition made up of 12 sections, split into four tracks.

According to Warp, the composition evolved from a sound installation created by Eno which currently sits in the Great Gallery of the Palace of Venaria in Turin, Italy.

Lux supposedly sees Eno exploring similar themes and sounds to those previously heard on his most lauded records such as Music For Films, Music For Airports and Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks.

Although this is his first solo album with Warp, Eno has previously released two albums on the legendary electronica label - Small Craft on a Milk Sea (with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams) and Drums BetweenThe Bells (with Rick Holland).

The album will be available on heavyweight vinyl, cd and as a download.
