BPI has announced a free training programme for its members to equip them with the skills to navigate the digital market place.

The first two training sessions will take place on 19 and 20 June and are entitled Cost Effective Digital Marketing and Cloud Services and Digital Deal Structure.

Music industry professionals from the likes of Amplifi, Essential Distribution and Believe Digital will guide participants through the sessions.

Chris Tams, BPI’s director of Independent Member Services, said: ‘The BPI sees training and development as vital to the success of any company. The forthcoming sessions on marketing and cloud services represent a prime opportunity to learn from some of the leading names in digital business.

'We’re delighted to be able to offer the courses free of charge to BPI members and look forward to building a programme of events throughout the year to equip labels and music organisations with the contacts and knowledge that will help their businesses to grow.’

Further sessions are expected to cover topics such as how to get airplay, tapping into overseas markets and understanding royalty payments and piracy.
