PRS for Music Foundation’s Beyond Borders 2013  - please note applications are now closed for this particular scheme but there are plenty more funding opportunities at PRS for Music Foundation, including Momentum Music Fund. Check go here for more information.

Beyond Borders is a UK-wide funding programme offers £15,000 worth of funding for bands, artists and organisations to either collaborate on making new music or tour recent work.

Previous success stories from the initiative include Maya Jane Coles’ remix of a collaboration between Northern Irish DJ Phil Kieran and White Noise Sound which reached number one on Beatport’s electronica chart last year.

Lady Leshurr and Astroid Boys also worked with dance music producer Jamie Anderson to create new music for the Bigga Fish UK tour.

Vanessa Reed, executive director of PRS for Music Foundation, said: ‘The Beyond Borders scheme has supported many exciting new music projects since its launch in 2010 and this year’s inclusion of support for further performances of existing work clearly responds to a need in the music sector.

‘I hope this funding opportunity will stimulate new UK collaborations and tours so that more audiences can enjoy new music written in the past five years.’

Applications for the project are now open with interested parties needing to complete their submissions by 6pm on 26 June.

You can find the application form on the PRS for Music Foundation’s website.
